Turns out, her charming plumber boyfriend Dylan is actually a legendary bank robber. Andrew makes the arrest, the FBI shows up at Mama Margaret’s house, and somehow this still feels like a family sitcom. That’s the magic of this show.
Carol’s reaction is both hilarious and deeply sad. She slaps Dylan silly during their prison visit, then mourns the loss of her fantasy life while marathoning takeout and television. But there’s something sweet underneath all of it, Carol really believed this one was different.
Leanne continues to show up for her sister in exactly the right ways, including sneaking into bed with her after the chaos dies down. For all the ridiculousness, Leanne still knows how to make a sisterly moment land.
