Dollface steps into the spotlight and absolutely owns it.
This episode starts with a flashback that feels like a whole other mini-movie. We learn how Dollface went from being pushed to the sidelines to becoming the badass leader of the Dolls. It’s gritty and empowering and a reminder that everyone in Twisted Metal has their own warped hero’s journey.
Back in the present, John wakes up chained to a bed and face to face with his long-lost sister. There’s a lot of emotional tension here, and Anthony Mackie plays the confusion with just the right touch of vulnerability. Quiet shows up too, and the trio dance around old wounds, new loyalties, and the tournament that’s about to kick off.
The paintball obstacle course is a highlight, mixing slapstick with competition, and introducing a sense of community among the Dolls that’s really refreshing. Mayhem also makes her full debut here and immediately stands out. She’s sneaky, sharp, and brings some real unpredictable energy to the camp.
This episode continues to blend absurd comedy with surprisingly thoughtful character work. The road to the tournament keeps getting bumpier, and that’s a good thing.
