Now this is how you end a series.
The Last Panther is the most ambitious, visually inventive, and emotionally layered episode of the show. It brings together past and future, science fiction and history, Killmonger’s legacy and T’Challa’s hopes, all in one elegant, time-bending story.
Set during Italy’s invasion of Ethiopia in 1896, this episode follows Prince Tafari and his War Dog companion Kuda as they protect a sacred vibranium ax. But in a twist, we also meet a Black Panther from Wakanda’s far future, desperate to change the past and save her timeline. The way this episode jumps across centuries without losing focus is impressive.
The themes hit hard: What does Wakanda owe the world? When do traditions help, and when do they harm? It’s a love letter to everything Black Panther fans cherish, philosophy, legacy, and strength rooted in identity.
The animation here is next level. The design of future Wakanda is jaw-dropping, and the story ties everything back to the main MCU in a way that feels earned.
Easily the standout episode of the series, and a must-watch for anyone who loves the world of Wakanda.
