Twisted Metal – Season 2, Episode 3: “T3STDEV”

Road trips, memories, and monsters all collide in the best way.

Episode 3 leans into horror territory with the arrival of Mr. Grimm. He’s creepy, theatrical, and brings a supernatural vibe that feels right at home in the madness of this world. His motorcycle rises from a grave, and his split personalities make every scene feel like it could explode at any moment.

Elsewhere, John and Quiet are making their way to Diesel City, but John gets pulled into a detour with Dollface. The siblings revisit old memories at an abandoned drive-in theater, where Dollface tries to unlock his past using a childhood whistle. It’s a surprisingly sweet moment in a show that rarely stops moving.

Then Axel shows up. He’s part man, part machine, and all chaos. Watching him roll in with his giant wheel limbs and ankle-mounted machine guns is like watching a boss fight from the actual game come to life.

By the end, the group is reunited and standing on a hill overlooking the next major battleground. Between the emotional beats and the full-on mayhem, this episode shows that Twisted Metal knows how to balance heart and insanity.
