Wednesday – Season 2, Episode 3: “Call of the Woe”

Camping trip? Check. Monster on the loose? Absolutely. Secret government outcast experiments? Oh yeah.

This episode is a blast. It blends the monster-of-the-week fun with the overarching plot in a way that feels effortless. Everyone heads to Camp Jericho for some good old-fashioned Outcast vs. Normie competition. But Wednesday, as usual, has her own agenda. She’s investigating a cabin full of clues, all pointing toward someone named “Lois.”

The family dynamics shine here. Morticia and Gomez tag along as chaperones, which makes for some great Addams banter. And Wednesday finally confronts her mother over Goody’s spellbook. The conversation gets deep fast, especially when the name “Ophelia” comes up again. There’s pain there, and secrets, and you can feel Wednesday inching closer to the truth.

Meanwhile, Slurp eats another brain and starts evolving. That zombie is getting smarter and scarier by the minute.

The ending hits hard. Wednesday challenges Morticia to a duel for the book, loses, but still manages to save her from getting eaten. That’s a win in her book. And in a final twist, Marilyn Thornhill is revealed to be the latest patient at Willow Hill. That’s not a plot development. That’s a declaration of war.

This one’s got lore, gore, and family galore.
